The video is part of the campaign for the film The Promise.
In a video, Chris Cornell, his children Toni and Christopher, and numerous other artists made a promise: to fight for human rights.
The promise was made for the campaign of the film The Promise , which addresses the Armenian genocide, an important subject for the musician.
The video features the track that Cornell wrote especially for the film , while his children and other artists talk about their humanitarian struggles and ask everyone to help those in need.
"From basic rights to women's rights, my father believed that if each of us promises to dedicate ourselves to a cause, we can make the world a better place ," Toni says at the beginning of the video.
The video then continues with short testimonials from celebrities promising to fight for a cause that is important to them. Christian Bale, Oscar Isaac, Elton John, Tom Hanks, Barbra Streisand, George Clooney, Hugh Jackman, Snoop Dogg, Don Cheadle, Jennifer Lopez, Ozzy Osbourne, and Pharrell Williams are some of the artists who made the promise.
“I swear to keep my promise to fight for the most vulnerable children ,” Cornell says. “The idea of helping any cause you care about… For me, that’s what The Promise campaign is all about,” he concludes the video.
All proceeds from the film and the track "The Promise" will be donated to the International Rescue Committee , an organization that fights various humanitarian crises, from economic crises to communities endangered by natural disasters or political conflicts.
