Dee Sinider's new album will be released in July
Twisted Sister's vocalist has signed a contract with Napalm Records for the release of his solo album, For The Love Of Metal . The album is being produced by Jamey Jasta, vocalist of Hatebreed, and features guest appearances by Howard Jones (ex-Killwitch Engage), Mark Morton (Lamb Of God), Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Joel Grind and Nick Bellmore (Toxic Holocaust), and Charlie Bellmore (Kingdom Of Sorrow).
In an interview with Wmsc Fm radio, Snider spoke about the new work: “It’s a really exciting album that I didn’t expect to make, especially at this point in my life. I was doing Jamey Jasta’s podcast, and he challenged me to make a contemporary rock record. And I was like, ‘Who’s going to produce?’ He said, ‘Me.’ And then we went into the studio [without] any record deal, and people started to come together. But I was surprised by the enthusiasm and excitement that these younger musicians – younger than me, at least – had to work with Dee Snider and be part of this project.”
Snider continued: “We had a bidding war with all the major record labels ,” he said. “As Jamey would say, it’s tough. It goes back to my early work with Twisted Sister, but it’s very contemporary. And people are surprised, actually, that I still have such a strong, very powerful voice, and as Jamey says, an important and iconic rock voice. So I’m very excited about this album.”
The singer's last solo album, We Are The Ones , was released in 2016 by Red River Records.
