Dee Snider revealed that he almost decided to retire, but the music video for "I Gotta Rock (Again)," the first track from his fifth solo studio album, shows that the artist still has a lot to do.
“At the end of 2019, I felt that my recordings and performances had come to an end, but I didn’t announce it to the world. I had decided I was going to stop,” the musician said (via Heavy Consequence ). “But the state of things in 2020 had other plans for me. Between COVID-19 and the political landscape around the world, I began to long for a return to the studio.”
Twisted Sister vocalist brings together several important elements of his musical journey: plenty of energy and passion, scenes of the band on tour, and the courage to provoke through art. “ Leave A Scar is an auditory time capsule written to express the anger, discomfort, and pain that Dee Snider felt during lockdown,” announces the official press release.
