Dee Snider is directing a new auteur horror film; pre-production begins in June.

The musician had already written and acted in the 1988 film 'Strangeland'

In a tweet, Dee Snider revealed that he has written and is directing a new horror film that will enter pre-production in June.

Snider made his debut as a screenwriter and actor in the horror film Strangeland (1988) and has expressed excitement for his next project.

“Want to know about a huge distraction? My next horror movie (which I wrote and am directing) has been approved and starts pre-production in 4 weeks!”, he wrote. Before that, the musician will take a 3-week vacation that was planned before the COVID-19 pandemic began and was postponed twice.

We still don't know if it's the same film, but a few years ago Snider revealed that he was planning to direct a horror film based on a script he wrote called My Enemy's Enemy . The story would be based on a series of real crimes that happened on Long Island, New York, in 1982 ( Blabbermouth ) .
