Dee Snider

Dee Snider reveals that he did not participate in the songwriting process for the new album.

The lead singer will release a new album later this month

Dee Snider , frontman of Twisted Sister , is preparing for the release of his new solo album, For The Love Of Metal , scheduled for July 27th via Napalm Records, and during an interview with Gruemonkey.com , he talked about the creative process behind the work.

Hatebreed producer and vocalist Jamey ] Jasta studied me like, I don’t know, a bug, and he understood me. He studied my voice, my lyrics, and everything he brought to me I used. It’s like all the songs came from me, even though I didn’t write any of them.”

“I can sing them as if they came from my soul, he really understood me,” Snider revealed. He went on to say that the album helped him through difficult times. The singer's mother was 85 years old when she died in a car accident, “Metal, for me, is a way to deal with all these emotions.”.

“There’s a song on the album called ‘I’m Ready,’ and while I was recording it, I realized it was about death, so I asked Nick Bellmore, who co-produced the album with Jasta, if Jamey had written that song about my mother, and he said yes. He knew what I was feeling when I lost her.”

For The Love Of Metal follows We Are The Ones , released in October 2016, and according to Snider, will have a different sound, since the last album carried "a part Foo Fighters , another part Imagine Dragons , and also a part Thirty Seconds to Mars ".
