Bassist talks about Menza and Friedman's return
Megadeth bassist David Ellefson spoke to Ultimate Guitar about the progress of Megadeth's next album. According to the bassist, the songs are already written, and all that remains is the recording work.
"The album is almost entirely composed. We obviously need to record it, and we're looking into the line-up issues, which is very important ." Megadeth has not yet announced replacements for Shawn Drover and Chris Broderick, who left the band last November.
Ellefson spoke about the possibility of a return of the "Rust In Peace" album lineup, with Nick Menza on drums and Marty Friedman on guitar: "We know people want that. We've kept in touch with Nick, especially in recent years, and Marty has always been a good friend .
