On Monday, the 12th, Dave Grohl released the new trailer for his documentary What Drives Us , which promises to be a true tribute not only to the lives of various personalities as rock musicians, but to life on the road.
The new footage features exclusive testimonials and footage from names like Ringo Starr , Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers , Brian Johnson from AC/DC , Slash and Duff McKagan from Guns N' Roses , Lars Ulrich from Metallica , Steven Tyler from Aerosmith , among countless others. With a wealth of material from various sources and rarities, the documentary has everything it takes to prove itself a great work.
Regarding the project, Dave Grohl said: “This film is my love letter to every musician who has ever jumped into an old van with their friends and left everything behind for the simple reward of playing music.” What Drives Us should also primarily explore the force that motivates musicians to persevere in their careers under unfavorable conditions, such as “cramming all their friends and equipment into a small space for months on end,” as Grohl put it.
The documentary will be available via Coda Collection in the United States and via Amazon Prime in other territories starting April 30th.
