Former bassist CJ Ramone is doing well and should continue with the tour as normal.

Punk icon CJ Ramone fell ill during a show in Rio de Janeiro. During a performance on Wednesday, November 14th, the former Ramones fainted while playing "Three Angels." The song is a tribute to three Ramones who have passed away: Johnny, Joey, and Dee Dee.

CJ was unconscious for a few minutes and the show had to be interrupted. The musician was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation and soon returned to the hotel and is now fine. According to his press office, the cause of the fainting was the heat in the auditorium. The Teatro Odisséia, the venue for the show, released a statement the following day:

"Last night (November 14th), during a performance at Teatro Odisséia, American musician CJ Ramone felt unwell and even fainted. Therefore, the performance had to be interrupted early."

Although we don't have specific information about the diagnosis after the medical evaluation the musician underwent, we can say that the house was air-conditioned and that we offered to help with the tour production in any way necessary.”

The interruption occurred during the 18th song of the night. The fainting spell left fans unable to hear classics such as "I Wanna Be Sedated," "Blitzkrieg Bop," and "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker."

CJ's Brazilian tour will continue in Porto Alegre (11/16), São Paulo (11/17) and Santos (11/18).
