In the week that Soundgarden , Chris Cornell , would have turned 56, the first biography about the artist was announced.
Titled Total F*cking Godhead – The Biography Of Chris Cornell , the book, which will be available in the United States from July 28th, will feature Corbin Reiff detailing the life of the legendary artist, and will include interviews with people like Jack Endino , Soundgarden's producer at the beginning of the band's career, and Dawn Anderson , a music critic who observed the band's potential before they became famous.
Reiff addresses in the book aspects ranging from his career, such as the period when Soundgarden dominated music alongside other grunge bands like Nirvana, Alice In Chains , and Pearl Jam in the 90s, to passages about Cornell's personal life, such as his struggle with drugs in the public eye, and his mental health.
"This is the story of an artist who incorporated his inner turmoil into songs that touch the hearts of thousands of people around the world and that transformed Chris Cornell into one of the greatest icons in music," says the book's synopsis.
