Chris Cornell 's widow , Vicky , took to social media to deny reports circulating about a film that would tell the musician's story.

According to Wikimetal , international media outlets have revealed the supposed cast of the documentary, which is rumored to be directed by Brad Pitt . Furthermore, they've given a production name and even a release date.

Vicky Cornell, however, denied all the information via Twitter and seemed annoyed by the story:

"This is completely fabricated, [Loudwire], please do your research before reporting something like this. This is a fake IMDB page made by trolls and haters who have too much free time on their hands to create things like this — a joke. I apologize to the fans who were deceived #fakenews #fakefans #pathetic #seekhelp"

No Chris Cornell fan would do something like this. This commitment to hurting us—making documentaries, imitating me, insulting my children—what audacity—for two years. In the name of my husband, who would say much more, take your madness + stay away from us + from his memory. #youneedhelp.

A fan asked which parts were fake, and she said basically, "everything":

"The whole movie [is fake], every actor 'cast', the entire IMDb page – can you imagine anyone having time for this? For what other reason than being sick and obsessed – committed to harassing us for over 2 years. I rarely respond about myself but don't come near my children or my husband. #outoflimits #respect.".
