Chris Cornell: Guitar used in the production of the album 'Superunknown' will be auctioned

According to producer Michael Beinhorn, the instrument is one of the best jazzmasters he has ever used

Another legendary item from a music icon could be yours: the guitar used specifically by Chris Cornell Soundgarden 's 1994 album , Superunknown , is being auctioned by Gotta Have Rock and Roll .

Candy Apple Red Fender Jazzmaster guitar was also used by Cornell in live performances of "My Wave" and "The Day I Tried To Live" during the band's 1993 and 1994 tours, and in the Live N' Loud for MTV in 1996.

According to producer Michael Beinhorn , the instrument is one of the best-sounding jazzmasters he has ever used, and now, priced between $175,000 and $250,000, it could find a new home and new chords.
