Toni Cornell released an acoustic version of "Hunger Strike," a classic by Temple of the Dog , the band of the late Chris Cornell .

The version made by the 15-year-old girl was used to help raise funds in the fight against COVID-19.

In addition to singing, Toni sent a beautiful message and a $50,000 donation to @MusicCares.

“Sitting in my father’s studio during these crazy times makes me miss him even more. Music is one of the best ways to heal wounds and one of the most powerful ways to unite people, especially during tragedies. If my father were here, I know he would be the first to donate his time and effort.”

"Hunger Strike" was the biggest hit from Temple of the Dog, a band that released only one album in their career, in 1991.

Tony concludes: “This is for you, Dad, and for all the fans who helped us get started and continue to keep the music alive. I love you, Dad.”

Tom Morello , Chris Cornell's bandmate in Audioslave, approved of Tony's performance on Twitter: "Absolutely amazing!"

Cornell's daughter replied to the guitarist, "It means a lot coming from you. I recorded another one that I'll send you."
