The NFT market has grown considerably lately, and the music industry has been partly responsible for this. Recordings and photos have been sold in this format, generating good profits.

The current sale features a pair of photos of Chris Cornell from his last photoshoot shortly before his death on May 18, 2017. The images were taken by the renowned Hollywood photographer Randall Slavin

Slavin auctioned two photos in NFT format on Cryptograph last Thursday, the 5th. The bid will be available until the 7th at this link.

The Last Session , as the non-fungible token artwork is being called, features the prints titled Until We Disappear and White Roses For My Soul To Keep. The first is a portrait of Cornell with clouds in the background, and the second is a compilation of all the images taken on the day of the shoot, gathered in flip-book format.

Profits from the online sale will go to Phoenix House California , a charity and rehabilitation center that helps people recovering from drug addiction and which Cornell supported during his lifetime.

Slavin, who chose to keep the photos of the Soundgarden and Audioslave archived, was praised by Cornell's widow, Vicky : “Randall is like family. I am so grateful that Chris's last photo session was captured not only by an incredible photographer, but by a true friend.”
