Bullet For My Valentine has been described as the “greatest British metal band since Iron Maiden ” in a new Metal Hammer magazine , one of the most traditional heavy metal publications in the world.

Formed in 1998, the band recently released their seventh studio album , a self-titled record that brings a new sound to the band, with more weight and aggression than its predecessors, described by the British publication as "version 2.0" of the band led by Matthew Tuck .

Among the achievements listed to justify the title is the growth of the audience in the last decade, earning Bullet For My Valentine increasingly better positions in the Download Festival lineup , until finally reaching the headliner position this year at the test event for the return of live music , with 10,000 people gathered in June.

The band has opened for Guns N' Roses, Metallica , and Iron Maiden themselves. In an interview with The Wikimetal Happy Hour , guitarist Michael Paget confessed that he froze when he met James Hetfield and Steve Harris ; you can read about it here .
