The Indian folk metal band Bloodywood shared on YouTube the documentary Expect a Riot , which shows the band's journey from its beginnings with the independent release of the album Rakshak in 2022.

Guitarist Karan Katiyar revealed that independent production shaped the band's sound and highlighted their talent.

“We’ve always been DIY (Do It Yourself) at our core, figuring things out for ourselves instead of relying on others. The success we achieved with Rakshak , all on our own, showed us what we’re capable of. But now, we’re ready for the next chapter.”

Recently, Bloodywood signed with the record label Fearless Records and released the single "Nu Delhi" to celebrate the start of the partnership .

According to Katiyar, the collaboration with the record label fulfills the musical commitment that the band brings as a legacy:

“We wanted a partner who was as passionate and committed to our music as we are. We found that partner in Fearless Records and we’re excited to kick off this collaboration with the release of the first single from the new album.”

The successor to the album Rakshak

During the documentary, the members of Bloodywood showed behind-the-scenes footage of the production of their new album – which still has no release date.

According to Karan Katiyar, there's a rule in the music industry to ensure a good reception for a second album.

"There's a saying in the industry that you have your whole life to make your first album, but only two years to make the second, so you can spend your whole life creating the best one."

Vocalist Jayant Bhadula also commented on the successor to their debut album.

“It’s our second child. We are very passionate about what we are doing and we want someone as passionate as we are to be a collaborator who believes in the project and ensures that she does what she should do.”

In addition to “Nu Delhi”, the band released “Bekhauf” in collaboration with the Japanese band Babymetal . Both songs will be part of the new album.
