The biography 'Slayer's Bloody Reign' gets a new version covering the band's final years.

Joel McIver's book arrives in Brazil updated and in a deluxe edition.

The book The Bloody Reign of Slayer , written by Joel McIver , will be re-released and updated with coverage of the band's final years and a special chapter on guitarist Jeff Hanneman , who died in 2013.

After eight years out of print in the country, the new version will have a hardcover, luxury finish with trilateral painting, and over 500 pages with rare photos from the band's early days, concert posters, and behind-the-scenes footage, with chapters covering the thrash metal group's journey since its inception in 1982, and updated coverage of events between 2011 and 2019.

With artwork by Brazilian artist Alcides Burn , the book will be released in Brazil by Estética Torta on September 30th, but is already available for pre-order with special discounts . The book is also part of a Slayer combo from the publisher .

Author Joel McIver has published over 20 books on heavy metal, including acclaimed biographies of Black Sabbath , Motörhead , Queens of the Stone Age , and Metallica .
