The Ramones influenced thousands of musicians.
The Ramones emerged in 1974 in the United States and are considered a pioneering punk rock band, influencing many musicians over the years. The band created rock 'n' roll classics such as "Blitzkrieg Bop," "I Wanna Be Sedated," "Rockaway Beach," "Pet Sematary," and many others.
Currently, the only living members are Marky, CJ , and Richie . Joey Ramone passed away in 2001 from lymphatic cancer. Dee Dee was found dead in 2002 from a heroin overdose. Johnny died in 2004 from prostate cancer.
The band broke up in 1996, after releasing the album Adios Amigos .
