Yuimetal's decision to leave the group was motivated by her desire to pursue a solo career. “I also want to follow my dreams as Yui Mizuno [real name], and that's why I made this decision. As BABYMETAL, I am grateful for this very valuable experience. I feel blessed. It was a vibrant, fun, and happy time when everyone laughed and became one. I will also strive to see you all again someday as Mizuno Yui. Thank you so much for these eight years,” the singer announced at the time (via Tenho Mais Discos Que Amigos! ).
