Babymetal and the German band Electric Callboy have teamed up once again and released a cross-platform game.
The game is based on the song "Ratatata," a collaboration between the Japanese band and the German group, and is free to play on computers and mobile phones.
The game has a general description which says ( via NME ): “It’s time. Night has fallen and the sky has turned red. Electric Callboy is on his way in search of love. Help them destroy the obstacles in their path so they can finally hit the dance floor with Babymetal when it’s 'Ratatatata'.”
Released in May of this year, “Ratatatata” became the Japanese group’s first song to enter the North American charts. Moametal , a member of Babymetal, spoke about the success of the track ( via NME ): “It’s only been a month since we filmed the music video, it feels surreal. I still can’t believe it, but I had a lot of fun making it. I’m so happy that so many people have heard it.”
The Japanese metal band has also appeared in the games Super Mario Maker and Fortnite , while their music was included in the setlist of Rock Band 4 .
Babymetal returns to the stage on the second day of Knotfest Brasil , which takes place on October 19th and 20th with tickets available on the Eventim website , and on October 21st, they will perform a solo show at Audio with an opening act by the band Seven Hours After Violet .
