Babymetal their  new album Metal Forth , also released on August 8th by Capitol Records , which debuted at number 9 on the Billboard 200.

This event marks not only the band's first appearance in the US Top 10, but also the first time in history that a group led solely by Japanese musicians has achieved such a feat.

Regarding the achievement, the band commented [via Metal Injection ]: “Thank you so much for your support of our new album, Metal Forth, around the world! We hope you enjoy it! Our music and career are evolving globally, and we are moving forward with 'Beyond HEAVY METAL'. Our journey continues, and we can't wait to see you at Babymetal shows in your cities and countries.”

The name Metal Forth , translated as "beyond metal," symbolizes the artistic advancement of the Japanese trio, who achieved worldwide notoriety for uniting Japanese pop with heavy metal. In addition to Spiritbox, the album features special appearances by big names such as Poppy , Tom Morello, Electric Callboy , Polyphia, Bloodywood , and Slaughter to Prevail .

Key “Kobametal” Kobayashi , the band's producer and manager, reinforced this:

“With Capitol as a global partner, Babymetal will take its sound to every corner of the planet. We will undertake even more ambitious projects throughout this special year.”

The new album arrives after Babymetal wraps up their biggest North American tour to date. The girls played 24 shows, passing through New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago and others with support from Black Veil Brides, Jinjer and Bloodywood . In November, the band will play their biggest arena show in the United States to date, at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
