Bassist says Bostaph brings life to Slayer.
Slayer bassist and vocalist Tom Araya revealed details of Dave Lombardo's departure from the band.
Slayer will feature Hanneman's music on their new album.
Araya explains that Lombardo had been playing with Slayer for some time but wasn't the band's owner; he was a hired member: "He wasn't happy and decided to complain through Facebook, talking about private and personal band problems. Many of the issues he raised were untrue. And part of the agreement is not to do that."
According to Araya, he and Kerry King then made the decision to fire Lombardo and bring in Paul Bostaph: "Paul brought life to our live performances."
According to the former drummer, the problems with the band were financial: "I realized that I played shows around the world in 2012 and wasn't paid anything, except for a small advance," Lombardo explained in February.
