A thousand-piece band plays “My Hero” in tribute to Taylor Hawkins.

The Rockin'1000 event is set to have its first in-person edition in almost 3 years

More than a thousand musicians from 25 different countries gathered in Paris for the Rockin'1000 , where they played various songs and also paid tribute to Taylor Hawkins .

The project was originally created in 2015 with the intention of attracting the attention of the Foo Fighters so that the band would visit the city of Cesena, Italy. Since then, the event has evolved into a large celebration of rock, bringing together hundreds of singers, guitarists, bassists, and drummers in a single set.

Last Saturday, the 23rd, Rockin'1000 resumed its in-person activity for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, gathering a crowd of 50,000 people ( Consequence ). Among the songs played were classics from The Who , Rage Against the Machine , Pink Floyd , The White Stripes , and Guns N' Roses , in addition to a special performance of "My Hero" by Foo Fighters, in homage to the late Taylor Hawkins.
