Chris LaRocque jumped into the water and was caught on camera by Scott Ian of Anthrax, and now he's been immortalized on the new Budweiser can

In May 2018, a Slayer and Anthrax named Chris LaRocque was ejected from a concert in Toronto, Canada, and attempted to swim back to the venue.

The fan caught the attention of Scott Ian , guitarist for Anthrax, who shared a photo on his social media showing Chris's escapade, which ended with him being detained by security.

Now, he has been honored on a Budweiser beer can, the brand that sponsored the event where it all happened. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the stage where Slayer performed, Bud created packaging featuring some of the artists who have played there during that time, such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Nickelback, Van Halen and, of course, Chris LaRocque, the swimming fan.

On his Facebook profile, LaRocque shared a photo of the new packaging. "So, it looks like I ended up on a can label. Will I get free beer because of this?", he joked in the caption.

A few days after the incident, LaRocque explained to Exclaim what had happened: “I was a little high, not really very drunk or anything like that, but I was feeling good. I was there, headbanging and in the mosh pit [and the security guards took me away].”

The idea of swimming back came from a friend who stayed at the show. And Chris agreed, jumping into the canal. "I was wearing a camouflage hat and thought I wouldn't be recognized," he said. But the hat fell off, Scott Ian saw it and took pictures – and the incident became part of history.
