On October 2nd, Slayer will perform at Espaço das Américas in São Paulo , and two days later, the band will officially say goodbye to Brazil with a set at Rock in Rio.

After 28 years on the road, the band is ending its activities with a world tour featuring its greatest hits. In this farewell mood, we've listed some reasons why we'll miss Slayer and, of course, reasons not to miss the opportunity to see them live one last time.

Opening bands:
The group brings the best bands to open their shows around the world. In the UK, Slayer is being joined by Anthrax and Lamb of God , with the former also touring Latin America, although they won't be coming to São Paulo – the group will also be performing at Rock in Rio.

One band that owes part of its success to Slayer is Machine Head . The group toured with the veterans when they were early in their career, and after that, success was guaranteed. Here, Slayer will be joined by Claustrofobia.

Stage Design:
The stage design at rock and heavy metal shows is usually a show in itself, and Slayer is no different. With plenty of pyrotechnics, lighting effects, and tributes to colleagues like Jeff Hanneman , the late Slayer guitarist, the show is unmissable.

Venue:
The band is coming to Rock in Rio as the centerpiece of their Latin American tour, but the show in São Paulo will be truly special. Unlike the festival, the performance in the São Paulo capital will take place at Espaço das Américas, which has a capacity of almost eight thousand people, meaning the set will be very intimate and it will be possible to see the guys up close with all the pyrotechnics and craziness of the show.

Farewell
Of course, we can't forget that this is the group's last tour. Farewell tours are very common in the music world, especially in rock, but everything indicates that this one is for real and they're not kidding when they say they're retiring from the stage, at least not in the current lineup.

So, are you going to lose?
