One of the most iconic blues rock bands of the last few decades, ZZ Top is preparing to release their new live album . Titled RAW, the record brings together the soundtrack of the documentary That Little Ol' Band From Texas (2019) and is the band's first release since the passing of Dusty Hill .

Following explosive versions of “Brown Sugar” and “La Grande”, they present an interpretation of one of the band's most iconic tracks: “Tube Snake Boogie”, a highlight from the album El Loco Shelter Records/BMG release .

Dusty Hill characterized “Tube Snake Boogie” as the ultimate “party song,” while Billy Gibbons credits drummer Frank Beard with making it work. “The track really revolves around Frank’s opening, which has a surf-meets-jungle vibe,” says Gibbons. For his part, Beard credits his drum intro as being inspired by Sandy Nelson’s classic “Teen Beat.
