Just before releasing RAW , their new live album , ZZ Top has released another single. This time, “Heard It On The X”, from the album Fandango! (1975), gets its live version.

The song tells a story that is part of the trio's musical background. When they were young, radios in Texas picked up frequencies from Mexican radio stations – all with an X at the beginning of their name. These stations, which had long frequencies, meant that the three musicians spent their time listening to and enjoying the same music even though they grew up far from each other.

The album was recorded live at Gruene Hall, one of the most iconic and traditional venues in Texas, their home state. The intimate and intense performance by the classic lineup of Billy Gibbons , Frank Beard , and the late Dusty Hill will be part of the soundtrack for the documentary That Little Ol' Band From Texas , which will tell the story of the group.

RAW will be released on July 22nd, and below you can listen to "Heard It On The X" and "Tube Snake Boogie," which was released previously.

Dusty Hill passed away last July, and RAW will mark ZZ Top's first release without him. The group has not yet announced what their next steps will be.
