ZZ Top recently announced the release of their new live album, titled RAW . The album was recorded before Dusty Hill and is the first to be released since then, featuring the soundtrack from the documentary That Little Ol' Band From Texas (2019). It is being released via BMG.
To accompany the announcement, ZZ Top released a new version of the classic 1971 song "Brown Sugar." "'Brown Sugar' has been a special part of our show for many decades, and I think it's the right way to kick off RAW ," says Billy Gibbons . "These recordings at Gruene Hall were a satisfying return to our roots, and we're happy to share them with everyone who's been with us for so long."
RAW was recorded live at Gruene Hall, one of Texas' most traditional venues, and is scheduled for release on July 22nd.
