Musicians gather
Ozzy's official Facebook page confirmed today that the guitarist for the vocalist's upcoming tour will be Zakk Wylde. The two haven't shared the stage on tour since 2006.
In the announcement, Ozzy writes:
"For the first time in over a decade, Ozzy Osbourne and Zakk Wylde are together again.".
Known as one of the greatest vocal and guitar duos in rock, the duo will embark on a series of headlining dates in the United States, beginning July 14th. Although they have played together in recent years, these shows will be the duo's first full-length tour collaboration since 2006. Ozzy and Zakk first teamed up 30 years ago when Zakk (described by Ozzy as an "absolutely incredible guitarist") joined Ozzy's band in 1987. Their last recording was on the 2007 album, "Black Rain"
Ozzy's band will also feature Rob "Blasko" Nicholson on bass, Tommy Clufetos on drums, and Adam Wakeman on keyboards.
