Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society Pantera songs for the band's reunion tour. In order to overcome this setback with the shows approaching, the guitarist has been resorting to YouTube that teach how to play, including solos and riffs , the songs of the late Dimebag Darrell .

In an interview with guitarist Ola Englund , Zakk commented: “When I went to learn 'Becoming,' for example, I thought, 'what the heck did he do there?' Then I just searched: 'how to play…' and found these incredible guitarists teaching on YouTube. I was just like, 'okay, play it so I can see.' It works like a guide. For me, playing along with the music is one thing, but when you learn the recording… it's like taking the GPS out of your car.”

For the first time, the guitarist ended up needing to buy a " whammy " pedal, an effect widely used by Jimi Hendrix and Pantera themselves. Furthermore, the star will have the help of the technician who used to handle Darrell's equipment. "I had to buy a whammy pedal. I've never had one of those before. Grady Champion [guitar technician] will probably be handling the effects, the same guy who did Dimebag's. So, yeah, I'm the happy owner of a whammy pedal now," he said.

Rehearsals with Phil Anselmo , Rex Brown and Charlie Benante (Anthrax) are not expected to begin until the end of November.

Pantera's celebratory tour is their first in 20 years. It kicks off in Mexico on December 2nd and already has dates scheduled at major European festivals in 2023. Also in December, the band will be in Brazil with two shows in São Paulo. The first takes place on the 15th alongside Judas Priest , and the second at the Knotfest on the 18th.
