Zakk Wylde participated in the weekly program The Wikimetal Happy Hour where he talked with Wikimetal Nando Machado about the pandemic times, the new tour the guitarist is planning, and also commented a bit on the new Black Label Society , Doom Crew Inc. , which will be released on November 26th.
During the conversation, Nando asked the musician about Eddie Van Halen and how much he misses the guitarist. “Someone said something like, ‘Think how blessed we are to have had him for so long,’ you know? And that’s true! After the first two albums, even after the first one, if he had stopped or retired, he would have already changed the whole game. We are blessed by that, in addition to his entire body of work, you know?”
Wylde goes on to say that it's a shame we no longer have "King Edward," as he himself called him, with us, but that "we must thank God for this insane work he left us." He concludes by saying, "We are very lucky that he lived as long as he did while we ourselves existed on this planet."
The guitarist participated in the 93rd edition of The Wikimetal Happy Hour , which you can check out in its entirety by clicking here . Below, you'll find the excerpt where Wylde talked about Eddie Van Halen.
