Zakk Wylde 's appearance on The Wikimetal Happy Hour , Nando Machado recalled the moment he met the legendary guitarist at a Travis in Los Angeles. When asked if he really liked that style of music or if he was just accompanying someone, Zakk promptly replied:

“No, I love Travis. I love Keane , all those guys, that British wave [of that kind] of music. I think Coldplay is amazing, I love all that stuff. I listen to everything. Someone asked me which [artists] I secretly listen to, but I listen to everything from Mahavishnu Orchestra to Keane, Travis, Sam Cook , anything. Then I move on to Frank Marino , Mahogany Rush , a bit of Dimebag . I'll listen to A Flock of Seagulls , Crowded House , yacht rock. It's all good.”

Zakk Wylde also argued that the inspiration and creativity of most musicians comes from the type of music they consume, and this is reflected in their art. “I think with all musicians, what you listen to and the music you love is what will overflow from you. For example, with the guys from Green Day , it’s the love they feel for The Clash , Sex Pistols , The Beatles ; all that stuff they listen to and it shows up in their music. Guns N' Roses , they love early Aerosmith The Rolling Stones , a lot of punk rock – all that music with a lot of attitude. So I think it’s a matter of all the music you love and that inspires you. I think that’s the case with all musicians.”

The guitarist also spoke about productions he has been watching on Netflix , such as the science fiction series The One and the crime series based on true events The Paradise and the Serpent . Check out an excerpt from the conversation:
