Zakk Wylde reveals that Randy Rhoads didn't like Black Sabbath.

The guitarist also talks about Randy Rhoads and Ozzy Osbourne being "the perfect team".

During an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock , Zakk Wylde , vocalist and guitarist of Black Label Society , commented on why he believes Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhoads were "the perfect team." He also revealed that the guitarist wasn't a fan of Osbourne's other project, Black Sabbath.

“Randy didn’t like Sabbath. So, taking into account the world he came from and the world Ozzy came from, and the fact that he didn’t like Black Sabbath and was certainly not influenced by Sabbath, that’s what made the duo work,” said the guitarist who has been with Ozzy Osbourne since 1987.

Rhoads died in a plane crash in March 1982, and Ozzy went through great personal and professional difficulties in finding a guitarist to fill his place. Bernie Torme, Brad Gillis , and Jake E. Lee all filled Rhoads's position before Ozzy called Wylde, and they became great friends and colleagues.
