During an appearance on The Cassius Morris Show , Zakk Wylde spoke about his participation in Ozzy Osbourne and confirmed that he recorded his parts in his home studio, called Black Vatican.

Regarding his collaboration on the new album, Wylde said: “Basically, everything was already written. I changed a thing here, another there, added some specific riffs, left my signature, but it was practically finished.”

He also commented on the other guest appearances on the album. “It’s incredible in the sense that Eric Clapton is [on this record], Jeff Beck and Tony Iommi too. If you told my 14-year-old self, living at home with my parents and practicing in my room, that I would be on an album with all my heroes, I wouldn’t have believed it. It was definitely an honor to play on tracks with those guys.”

Eric Clapton, for his part, was a little reluctant to participate in the album. According to Ozzy Osbourne, the reason was a lyric that talked about Jesus . "It all worked out in the end. [The solo he did] is very good," he assured.
