During a recent appearance on The Wikimetal Happy Hour , Zakk Wylde was praised by Nando Machado for his humility in sharing the stage with so many people and giving space to his bandmates. When asked if this was difficult to do because of ego, Zakk Wylde humorously replied that he actually has an evil plan for Black Label Society .
“It’s all planned. What I want to do eventually is get Dario [ Lorina ] to sing and play guitar and hire another guitarist, then I’ll leave the band, become their manager and steal all the publishing and merchandise rights,” he joked. “I’ll steal everything and take a huge percentage of their tour profits and put them back on the road and you and I will make all the money while we’re sitting at home.”
The outlandish idea drew laughter from the artist and the interviewer, and Zakk finished his plan by saying he would change the name to Dr. Evil , to which Nando Machado also suggested Gene Simmons .
“It can’t be because then the band won’t know they’re being extorted,” Zakk commented. “Uncle Gene is very intelligent and very well-educated, so you can’t fool him. You don’t want to be that clever, you understand?”
