Zakk Wylde and Judas Priest have spoken out and shown their support for Ozzy Osbourne after the musician announced the cancellation of his tour dates .
Earlier this week, Osbourne surprised fans with the sad news that he would have to end his touring days due to his physical limitations . His Judas Priest bandmates, who were to tour with the singer, posted a message on their social media expressing their affection and solidarity:
“We send all our love and support to Ozzy and thank our fans, especially in the UK and Ireland, for their loyalty and for standing by us. We are currently looking for viable opportunities to see each other soon and will post updates as soon as we have them.”
Despite the sad news, at the end of his own statement Ozzy Osbourne announced that this should not be the end of his time on stage. The artist stated that his team is trying to find ways to organize performances that do not require continuous travel from city to city and from country to country.
Regarding this, Zakk Wylde, Ozzy's touring guitarist, was quick to say that when the singer is ready, he will be too. On his Instagram, the guitarist wrote:
“Oz – keep giving your best, stay strong and positive. Everyone is praying and rooting for you – your strength, resilience, and lionheart are just a few of the many reasons why you are a hero to me and millions of people around the world. When you’re ready to continue, let’s go. I love you, Oz.”
