The guitarist was invited by the NBA to perform
American sports leagues have a tradition of inviting musicians or bands to perform the American national anthem before each game.
Metallica performed at the NBA Finals in 2016 and the NHL Stanley Cup Final a year later. Joey Belladonna of Anthrax played at a Chicago Bulls game in 2016 and a Minnesota Vikings game the following year.
Now, Zakk Wylde, frontman and guitarist of the band Black Label Society, has done the honors at an NBA game.
The game was the sixth in the playoffs that pitted the Chicago Bulls against the Toronto Raptors at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Zakk's performance took place just before a Black Label Society show at the House of Blues. The band is currently on tour while their fans await their new album, Grimmest Hits, which will be released on January 19th.
