Yoshiki , leader of X Japan , helped raise nearly US$5 million for humanitarian funds that are helping Ukraine.

Initially, Yoshiki had donated ¥10,000,000 (approximately R$430,000) through the Japanese e-commerce site Rakuten . After tweeting about the donation, several fans supported him, donating money for the same purpose.

At the time this article was published , ¥524 million (approximately R$ 22.5 million) had already been raised. All of this money was thanks to the tweet in which Yoshiki wrote that he had donated money to the Ukrainians.

Yoshiki is a big name in Japanese metal and rock and is also famous for his great humanitarian actions. At the beginning of last year, he announced that he would donate $100,000 (approximately R$500 million) every year to MusiCares to help the institution in its initiatives for mental health.

So far, several bands have already cancelled their performances in Russia and Ukraine, showing solidarity with the Ukrainians and the war that has devastated the country.
