In his first preview of his upcoming album, Yohan Kisser released "The Rivals Are Fed and Rested" this Friday, the 21st, a single that gives its name to the complete project. Already available on all digital platforms via ONErpm , the newest track is part of the singer's first solo album, which will feature 12 unreleased tracks.

In one of his most experimental projects, Yohan Kisser incorporates a variety of sounds and themes into his upcoming album, showcasing his diverse sonic range. In “The Rivals Are Fed and Rested,” Kisser gives fans a first taste of this, delivering a solid message through lyrics in both English and Portuguese.

“These new works range from piano to synthesizers and from acoustic guitar to electric guitar, with total freedom of themes – so this first single represents a bit of the diversity that the album as a whole will have,” says Yohan.

Adding to the discussion about the new track: "The song incorporates two languages and elements reminiscent of genres like reggae and recitative, as well as real recordings of toasts and laughter made in the studio.".

“The Rivals Are Fed and Rested” carries a strong political message, with lyrics entirely written by Yohan Kisser. In the single, the singer draws a parallel between Darwinian theory and class struggle, comparing luxury with necessity in lyrics such as: “Rich people who are hungry eat fruit, eat eggs / Leave the poor dying, leave them naked and screwed” .

In an interview with Wikimetal , Yohan gave more details about his new album and the show at Best of Blues and Rock, which takes place on June 25th in Belo Horizonte. Check out the full interview by clicking here.
