Yohan Kisser, son of Andreas Kisser , guitarist of the Brazilian metal giant Sepultura , releases The Rivals Are Fed and Rested via ONErpm . The new album features 12 unreleased tracks, 2 of which are singles with 2 music videos already available on the artist's YouTube channel .
The singer and multi-instrumentalist explores new sounds in The Rivals Are Fed and Rested that he had never experimented with before, aiming to expand his discography and test new sonic tides: “I couldn't be happier with this work; it's the first full-length album of my career. It communicates my ideas well, and I end up exploring different directions,” Yohan commented in a press release.
Within the album we find the track “Phantom Member”. The moving single is a dedication to his mother, Patrícia Perissonoto Kisser , who passed away in 2022 due to colon cancer. In a press release, Yohan explains: “The album explores a wide variety of musical styles and timbres, but in the end, it unites everything in a cohesive narrative. There are more intimate tracks, dedicated to my mother, and others that incorporate different languages.”
Produced and recorded at Lhama Records in São Paulo, the album features Guto Passos on bass and production, and William Paiva on drums. Regarding the album's visual presentation, it's important to highlight that the cover is entirely original, painted by Yohan Kisser himself, demonstrating his affection and passion for his work as a whole.
