Guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen has released a cover of the Beatles , "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".
The cover is part of Malmsteen's upcoming album, Blue Lightning , which will be released on March 29th by Mascot Records. According to the musician, the album is a tribute to the blues and to great names in rock.
In addition to the Beatles, the guitarist chose Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones , and Eric Clapton to receive his reinterpretations. Blue Lightning will also feature unreleased tracks by Yngwie Malmsteen.
