The progressive rock band Yes is preparing to release their new album, Mirror To The Sky , on May 19th. As a preview of what we can expect, the group released the music video for the single “All Connected” this Wednesday, the 26th.
The new track has a challenging length for a single, finishing at nine minutes. In a statement, vocalist Jon Davison commented (via Blabbermouth ): “ Steve [ Howe , guitarist] added a beautifully moving instrumental steel section that kicks off the journey. This section builds emotionally and grows into a glorious path for the vocals to begin telling their story.”
“ Billy [ Sherwood , guitarist and keyboardist] composed complex and appealing musical themes that I helped arrange, and we both composed vocals and lyrics, each of us singing our respective parts, creating a rich vocal tapestry,” he concludes.
In a statement, Steve Howe defines Yes's new album, Mirror To The Sky , as a continuation of the approach the band established on the album The Quest (2021), but "without repeating ourselves." He describes the new album as "a demonstration that we are growing and building again."
