The band XO Armor showcases the perfect blend of metalcore and trap in the frenetic "Raptoren," the German group's latest single, which is a rant about toxic masculinity, a behavioral pattern they try to escape like someone being chased by Velociraptors.
Wikimetal 's discoveries on Groover , the band delivers an intense sense of urgency and escape in the track, the only one from the band's second album with lyrics in German. The album, Nuclear, will be released on June 30, 2023.
The song, based on the vocalist's experience growing up in a rural area of Germany and dealing with many aspects of toxic masculinity that demand a harmful standard of behavior from men, features a collaboration with vocalist Dennis Ackerman of Consvmer.
Founded in 2018, the band XO Armor consists of Christian Hendges (vocals), David Paucken (guitar), Luca Schwartz (bass), and Robin Budde (drums).
