Xandria cancels Latin American tour citing lack of payment.

The production company responsible for the Latin American tour also commented on the incident.

Xandria announced the cancellation of all dates on her Latin American tour, including what would have been her return to Brazil, with shows scheduled for October 11th in Brasília and October 12th in São Paulo.

The German band posted a video on social media this Monday, the 22nd, explaining the reason for the cancellation and lamenting what happened. According to the group, the payments agreed upon with the tour promoter were not made. Read the full statement:

Dear Latin American fans,

You waited many years for us to finally return to your countries – and so did we. We were eager to see you again and share unforgettable nights together. That's why this news hurts us deeply, and it is with a very heavy heart that we have to tell you: this tour cannot happen.

To make this tour possible, we planned a huge financial investment on our part; for travel, crew, and equipment. We weren't going to make money ourselves; it was a pure commitment to you, our fans. But to cover these costs, it was essential that the promoter pay the fees as agreed in the contract.

The agreement was very clear:

50% of the fee was due on July 27th,
and the remaining 50% was due on September 20th.

None of those payments arrived.

We've had painful experiences in the past where we trusted promises like "the money will come later" and still went on tour. Sometimes, they even showed us fake payment receipts. In the end, we were never paid, which left us with huge losses.

With a tour of this magnitude, the financial risk is even greater. If we continue without receiving the agreed-upon payment, we would have to cover all these costs ourselves – which could jeopardize the band's future. We can't let that happen, as we are working on the next album and many future tours for you.

We're sure some promoters have good intentions, but when they can't handle the financial responsibility, the band ends up bearing all the risk. This time, the warning signs were all too clear.

So, we had no choice but to cancel this tour. We are very, very sad about this – for you and for us. Regarding tickets: please contact the ticket providers or local promoters for refunds. By law, they are responsible for returning your money.

We promise we will work to find a reliable partner to bring us back to Latin America as soon as possible – and when we return, we will ensure the shows are everything you deserve and more. We are so sorry. We appreciate your endless love and support. We hope to see you again soon.

With love,
Xandria

For refunds, the production company informs that all purchased tickets will be duly refunded and requests that the public contact Bilheto , the official ticketing company for the shows.

Official statement from the production company regarding the cancellation of Xandria's tour.

Hours later, the production company responsible for the tour, LBN Agency , issued a statement addressing the situation. In the statement, the company "deeply regrets the cancellation" and informs that all international flights had already been paid for and visas for all band members had been issued, claiming, however, that "LBN was unable to settle everything before the previously agreed dates due to payment delays from local producers in other countries."

"Official statement from the production company LBN Agency regarding the cancellation of the Xandria band's Latin American tour, which was scheduled to take place between September 24 and October 12, 2025."

LBN deeply regrets the cancellation of Xandria's Latin American tour, which included two shows in Brazil (São Paulo and Brasília). All purchased tickets will be duly refunded. We request that you contact the official ticketing company for the events, Bilheto.

LBN made every effort to make this tour a reality. All international flights, both round-trip and international, were fully paid for, as were domestic flights and visas for the Xandria musicians.

Unfortunately, LBN was unable to settle everything before the previously agreed dates due to payment delays from local producers in other countries. The band was notified of this and asked to extend the deadline until today (September 22nd), the day the agreed amounts would be available in the account for the remaining payment. Some countries had very low sales, which delayed some deadlines from being met earlier. We have great confidence in the work of the people involved.

We work with transparency at all times, including always notifying the band about low sales in some locations. Last Friday we received an amount equivalent to USD 30,000 from the tour, which would be used to settle the agreement to pay USD 18,500 to the band. We sent the band proof of these deposits from some local producers and part of LBN's own cash flow, reinforcing our clarity and transparency in the negotiations to maintain the tour.

It is worth noting that we also tried to compensate for the announced delay of a few days in settling the final part of the tour's financial agreement by paying for the band's hotel in Frankfurt, Germany, as well as all the crew's meals and working days.

We know we did our part. We invested a lot of time and money in this tour and worked day and night to promote it and generate ticket sales. LBN has complete confidence in the local production companies.”
