Limp Bizkit guitarist will perform with X Japan

OX Japan has recruited Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit to perform at the American Coachella festival, replacing Sugizo, who had visa issues entering the country.

In an interview with Oricon News, Sugizo said: “Since they haven’t finished processing my visa application yet, there’s a chance it won’t be ready in time for Coachella. I’m not giving up on going to the US yet. I’m taking my chances until the last minute, but these visa issues don’t resolve themselves according to my wishes. If the worst happens and the band has to use a substitute guitarist, I think the upside is that the fans will get to see a special X Japan performance that they could only see on that day. Regardless of what happens, the fans will get the best that X Japan has to offer.”

In 2008, Borlan performed with X Japan at three shows.

OX Japan emerged in the 1980s in Tokyo, initially under the name Noise. After a hiatus of about 10 years, the band returned in 2007, and since then has sold over 20 million records worldwide.
