Wormodon is a Dutch extreme metal band and is one of Wikimetal Groover platform .
The group recently released the album Avatar of Eternal Hunger (2024) which, according to them in a press release, “is the equivalent of a crappy, second-rate sci-fi movie from the 80s.”
The tenth song on the album, “Apex,” is a terrifying single in every aspect: the heavy riffs and drums evoke the scenario of violence and destruction that the band wants to convey through their sound. The vocals are reminiscent of aliens invading and destroying the planet, all in a comical tone. Therefore, it's a fun track to listen to. After all, according to Wormodon themselves, it's not meant to be taken seriously.
