To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary festival, an American radio station will rebroadcast the shows

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Woodstock festival, and to celebrate the occasion, there was an attempt to recreate the event. However, the organization faced a series of problems due to site permits and financial issues.

The event took place between August 15th and 18th, 1969 in Bethel, New York, and to honor the occasion, Philadelphia radio station WXPN 88.5 FM announced that it will rebroadcast the festival starting on August 15th.

“WXPN will deliver the most effective tribute to the music, in the way it was originally played, at the exact same times as the concerts to give our listeners a sense of how it all happened,” said Bruce Warren, head of programming at the radio station.
