The new Woodstock celebration will take place on the same day as the event in Bethel Woods

Woodstock co-producer and co-founder Michael Lang announced today the return of the legendary Woodstock Music & Arts Fair. The 50th anniversary celebration of Woodstock will return with the motto "three days of peace and music." Now, new generations will be able to enjoy the harmony and compassion that the festival promotes.

Lang's event is not the same as the one that will take place at the Bethel Woods Center For The Arts . However, both will happen on the same weekend, from August 16th to 18th.

To celebrate the movement that defined the younger generation, a limited number of discounted tickets will be available to students aged 18 to 25.

“The original venue in Bethel is wonderful, but too small for what we intend,” Lang said. The new event will take place at Watkins Glen International, where Lang said he “felt an emotional connection.”

The festival will feature three main stages, showcasing over 60 big names in rock, hip-hop, pop, and country. Music fans can expect current artists, unique collaborations, and tributes to Woodstock performances.
