Catfish , literally translated as "catfish," is a term used when internet users deceive other users with their identity and information. The phenomenon has become so common with globalization and the internet becoming so much a part of so many people's lives that it has even become a prestigious MTV . However, a catfish from the world of rock? We hadn't seen that before.
In the latest episode of Dr. Phil , the show features Tina , a huge fan of Poison , Bret Michaels Motley Crue 's bassist , Nikki Sixx . But her love of music isn't just something she shares with the artists. According to Tina, she's friends with Sixx, with whom she exchanges numerous messages a day, and she's also engaged to Michaels.
“I love Bret Michaels and he loves me,” she states. “After three weeks of talking directly, he said he was falling in love with me… a few months later, we were talking, and he said we should make a vow to the Bible that we would be devoted to each other. After we made the vow, he proposed, and I said yes.”
Tina met the alleged artists via Instagram, but never spoke to them on the phone, much less in person, stating that in both cases, the musicians' managers, security, and team did not allow such a connection, which did not prevent her from pursuing the relationships.
However, Tina's belief seems to be shaken when Sixx surprises the fan in person, and she receives a video message from Bret. Check out the bizarre saga below:
