Mammoth WVH Wolfgang Van Halen 's project , played its first show last Tuesday night, the 27th, at the Bottleneck Night Club in Lawrence, Kansas.

The event was a surprise show, announced the day before. Still, that didn't stop the show from selling out quickly, as a packed crowd turned out to hear the rising rock star.

As expected, the setlist consisted entirely of songs from the band's self-titled debut album from 2020.

The night began on an emphatic note, with Mammoth WVH playing the high-octane track “Don’t Back Down”. Regarding the song, Wolfgang previously described it to UCR as: “the song you hear in the arena when you want your team to finish off the opposing team”.

Other highlights of the concert included the boisterous “Mr. Ed,” recognized as an alternative rock banger

In addition, the poignant "Distance," a song dedicated to Wolfgang's father, Eddie Van Halen , which reached number one on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart in February, served as the first encore of the night.

The crowd's spirits remained high throughout the event, with fans clapping and singing along to every song. "I've been locked up at home for a while. Is this your first show?" Wolfgang said, smiling brightly during a portion of the performance. Social media was flooded with praise for the artist.
