Wolfgang Van Halen is preparing for the release of his debut album, Mammoth WVH , which shares the name of his solo project. The singer and multi-instrumentalist's first solo album arrives on June 11th, and expectations are high, as Wolfgang composed, sang, and played all the instruments himself.
While the long-awaited date hasn't arrived yet, the musician released his new single "Mammoth" this Friday, the 21st. The energetic and invigorating song conveys a message of strength, confidence, and encouragement, with Wolfgang stating that "anything is possible" and challenging listeners: "Let them think you're nothing special / And then prove them wrong.".
The song also references both the title and the name of his solo project, using the word "mammoth" for the first time in the lyrics: "You found the way / The weight of a mammoth has been lifted from your shoulders." The lyric video that accompanied the single is a creative production that features images from old black and white visual productions with strategically placed scenes interacting with the music.
“Mammoth” follows the singles “ Feel ”, “ Think It Over ”, “Don't Back Down”, “ You're To Blame ” and “ Distance ”, which is an open letter in homage to Wolfgang's father, Eddie Van Halen. Check out the lyric video for the new song now.
